Annual Harley Davidson Oncology Ward Christmas Party at the Red Cross Children's Hospital

It's that time of the year again when I start getting ready for the annual Harley Davidson Oncology Ward Christmas Party at the Red Cross Children's Hospital. We are holding the party on Friday the 28th of November from 2pm to 4pm where we will be spoiling the children with rides on the Harley Davidson's around the hospital grounds, handing them Christmas pressies and party good bags from our own very special Father Christmas who comes to the party on his Harley Davidson!!!

Each year we have a minimum of 50 "burly" Harley Davidson riders that join us – the noise from their bikes works the kids into a frenzy of excitement as they can hear them coming from almost 1km away.

There are currently 73 children in the Oncology ward at the Red Cross Children's Hospital ranging in age from 1 year's old to 14 years old. For those not well enough to get out of bed to join the party we don't exclude him…….we simply take the bikes into the wards to them, which the kids really think is Christmas thenJ

We are looking for any donations of sweets, chips, cool drinks and pressies for the children. If you would like to attend the party we would love to have you there. If you don't want to have to buy anything you can also simply donate monies into my account that will solely be used for party goods – any left over monies will be donated to the Hospital Trust to be used for purchasing the life saving equipment that they need for their new surgical wards.

The Animals' Saviour

I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter; the cast-offs of human society.
I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness, and betrayal.
And I was angry!!!
"God," I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"
God was silent for a moment, and then spoke softly,
"I have done something," was the reply. "I created you."
