For awesome pics go to flatwater.info and see just how windy it can get here...

After a long time away from home, it is all over. We raced the K4 500m yesterday and ended up 6th in the A final. The results were Poland, Spain, Argentina, Poland (B team), Italy and then us. There was less than a second seperating us from Poland B and Italy... So it was close!

In the other races, Shaun ended up 7th in the 1000m and Bridgette gave the other girls a paddling lesson in the 1000m winning it by over 3 seconds.

Today (Sunday) there was some amazing racing with Adam Van "should know how to spell it but dont" (Canada) breaking the 500m K1 world record. He went 1.35! Now for those of you that dont know, that is FAST! Shaun ended up in 6th place in the KL1 500m. I spoke to Kennie Wallace from Aus afterwards and he was "cross" becuase he also broke the World Record but unfortunately there were 2 guys ahead of him. (Adam and Tim Jocobs). He said, "what does a guy have to do around here to be good?!"

In the ladies 500m Jen had a tough semi and didnt make it through to the A final. Mich and Bridge had a great race in the B final of the K2 500m winning it convincingly.

SO thats that for the World Cup tour, home for a bit and then to Szolnok, Hungary for our last spurt of super hard training.
